A Thank You & A Pledge From Our Chair

This is a Thank You message and a promise for all of our Laredo Webb County Community, for your vote of confidence in me, and for your own commitment to our grand Democratic Party!

You believe, as I do, that we hold vast power in our hands, power to raise our voice via our vote, to assure that the democratic principles and values that we hold dear are protected and strengthened.

You also realize that we have much work ahead of us. Our goals are very specific: a strong, community-wide voter education outreach program, an equally strong voter registration plan, and then a concentrated effort to assure that all who are registered voters actually vote. And essential to our Democratic Community: a precinct chair for every single one of the 69 precincts in Webb County!

This primary election brought 33,048 voters to the polls, 24.47% of the 135,034 registered voters. We can and must do much better than that!

My pledge to you: to work in community with all who are just as willing to better Webb County, to achieve our goals.

And with that pledge comes as well a heartfelt, special Thank You for the 100% grassroots, 100% volunteer political newbies who devoted countless hours of their personal time to stand with me from the very start of this race to the finish line! I am also deeply grateful for every friend who donated to our campaign. Mine was a home-grown, grassroots effort, and so every donation was especially appreciated!

We have enormous work to be done, ahead of us, but I am very hopeful. Why? Because I have discovered along the way scores of folks, who have shown me by their actions that they too are truly good people, who love our community and are willing to work alongside me. And Webb County will be the winner in 2020!
